libcap2-bin software package provides basic utility programs for using capabilities, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcap2-bin
libcap2-bin is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcap2-bin package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcap2-bin *
You will get with libcap2-bin package name, version, architecture and description in a table
